Altea CS-50-I is a low-power current transformer for Indoor use. the current sensor is a Rogowski coil (not split-core) developed for enhancing accuracy and immunity against external electrical and magnetic fields. Altea CS-50-I is suitable for low-voltage applications or for being mounted on the shielded portion of MV cables.

Alternative solution for metering and protection devices compatible with lo-po instrument transformers. typically recommended in installation conditions where the output cable is long or multisignal, or when the rated burden is too high. the active version is needed when the relay / meter cannot integrate the signal from the passive current sensor (rogowski coil).
very low voltage signals proportional to the primary voltage and / or current. features: high linearity, accuracy class up to 0,5 in the operating temperature range, analogue calibration in factory, compatible with output cables up to 100 m, no significant influence of the secondary burden. limits: auxiliary power supply needed, wide dinamic range but limited by the electronic circuit, rated frequency only.

Recommended solution for metering and protection devices compatible with the new generation of instrument transformers. the customer has to check the installation conditions taking into account that calibration is valid for the agreed cable length and burden. the meter / relay applies via software the correction coefficents to compensate the ratio and phase errors respect to rated values.
low-power voltage output from capacitive Voltage divider and / or Rogowski coil current sensor. features: high linearity, wide dinamic range, no need of auxiliary power supply, accuracy class up to 0,5 in the operating temperature range, typical frequency bandwidth 10 kHz. limits: compatible with output cables up to 10 m, calibration of each sensor by means of correction coefficients for ratio and phase, calibration valid for the rated secondary burden.
